Confession of a Shopaholic

Rasa2nya memang dah boleh diagak kenapa aku pilih novel nie as one of my collection. Tengok title nye je dah tau… bagi orang yg gila sopping, this novel is a must! It’s very funny n chicklit. Sesuai untuk pemboros macam aku yg berangan nak berjimat. Sebelum aku baca novel nie, aku ingatkan aku sorang je yg buat macam tue, rupanya orang lain pun fikir benda yg sama jugak, hahaha. Nak tau apa, kena la layan dulu novel nie. Memang best n tak boring, cuma cerita nie lebih banyak bermonolog dengan diri sendiri. Itula yg menambahkan kelakaran cerita nie sebenarnya. Cerita nie berkisarkan tentang seorang perempuan yg gila shopping tetapi mempunyai kewangan yang tak stabil. Dia cuba untuk menyelesaikan probs dia dengan bermacam2 cara. Tetapi akhirnya dia berjaya jugak mengubah nasib dia menjadi kaya dan dapat pakwe yg charming lagi…congrats la untuk dia. Tapi aku tertarik nak beli novel nie bukan je sebab watak utamanya yg serba-sedikit macam aku iaitu shopaholic tapi jugak sebab authornya. Sebelum ni aku dah pernah baca novel nukilan Sophie Kinsella titled ‘Can You Keep A Secret’. Berdasarkan humor2 yang dia selitkan dalam novel dia, aku jadi tertarik untuk beli another version of her novel. I can’t believe that she’s not a shopaholic coz she describes the main character very well as a shopaholic. Well done! Novel ni aku baca dalam 3 tahun yang lepas rasanya... sekarang dah ada movie version yang baru ditayangkan di Malaysia 26hb yang lalu. mesti berbeza sikit dengan novel version coz movie punya kat new york while the novel one happen in london. cant wait to watch this movie tomorrow...

Earth hour

apa itu earth hour? kalau di translatekan ke BM adakah ianya jam bumi atau masa bumi? hmmm.earth hour baru shj berlalu malam tadi. tak tau lah macammana sambutannya... so far intai2 ada banyak je lampu yang berpasang, but ada jugak yang nampak gelap. adakah aku vote for earth hour? actually I do, but due to some circumstances I don't. uih, guano lak tu. dat day, semalam la, half day working hour(dis is the last saturday we have to work for the next 4 months, feww, best2!) ironically, kitorang bergelap dekat office sebab ada short circuit happened the day before. just imagine we're working in the dark, only a few of the lights is okey. hehe, kitorang memang dah sambut earth hour lebih awal nampaknye...lepas balik ofis pergi shopping with my friend kat SOGO. got a lil stuffs for my bedroom. ada sale pulak. so, tidak dapat tidak lah jadinye... hehe. after dat around 6 dah sampai rumah and mandi n belek those stuffs yang baru beli. ingatkan bergelap je lah malam tu, but then kawan ajak keluar pergi mall just near my home. so, pusing punya pusing sampai pukul 9 mlm, tambah pulak ada pasar malam sebelahnye. so, I actually vote earth hour cause i dont have any switch to on since kat luar. tapi tak nampak apa-apa perubahan ye pada pukul 8.30 malam tu. the mall's still as bright as always.flat berdekatan, ada byk juga yang off but still ada jugak yang terang benderang. then around 9pm dah sampai rumah, rupanya aku tak switch off lampu bilik air. Duh! dah la tak sambut earth hour, membazir namanya tu. n the other half hour since i got a guess, kawan datang rumah, takkan nak bergelap kot. so, tak ber earth hour lah aku... tapi tengok kat luar pun, still banyak bangunan2 yang pasang lampu. but, it's not a must pun. yelah, kalau kat hospital mungkin tak sesuai. dan kalau ada baby kecik kat rumah, mungkin jugak tak sesuai. dan macam-macam lagi contoh. agaknye berapa banyak elektrik yang dah dijimatkan malam tadi? hmmm tapi back to the original purpose of earth hour which is to gather as many people by switching of the light in order to urge world leaders to take action to fight global warming, i vote for it really. by turning off the light, we actually vote for it dan result selepas eath hour nanti akan dibawa ke 2009 Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen regarding global warming. yup, global warming is indeed a problem that we must cater as soon as possible. we should be responsible for it as this is the place we're living.
